11:32 pm - Truth Be Told
I've severely lost the ability to submit an entry of any length, which may require brain power on my part. I have goldfish memory, and often find myself lost half way through a sentence. It was funny at first, but it isn't as hilarious as it used to be.

I do look in however, and I should make that more obvious, but in real time terms I don't put in enough hours.

So, perfect for someone who appears to have senile dementia, and a butterfly brain, I've started micro blogging instead.

I don't know what any of you think of  it (I suspect it may be derided in the LJ biosphere), or if anyone uses it, but I'm alive and still me, just smaller, on

Follow, I follow, don't follow, stalk, or not bother - it's all gravy.

Hope you're all doing ok.

07:45 pm - Dr Shipmans 'All New' Film Club: Screening #1
Yes, another exciting addition to my entries, when I'm here I really *am* here...

The drift: I'm currently going through a period of being particularly interested in shorts. I've always wanted to complete one myself, but for me, they are the hardest thing to write and haven't even come close to finishing one. To tell a story/convey a message, or however you want to phrase it, in under 15 minutes seems to be a very fine skill indeed. In my usual style, I'm choosing to share what I'm currently obsessing about, and the doctor_shipman film club is born.

So today's short film is called "Soft". The credits and so forth appear on it, so you can check those details out for yourself if you wish. It's just short of 14 minutes long, and while I wont go into detail here, suffice to say I think it's quite a piece. This is my first film club entry, so I think I've chosen something pretty strong.

Either watch or download by clicking here. You may find that you watch it and then choose to download it... It's highly unlikely you'll get to see this on TV or at your multiplex any time soon.

Get yourself a cuppa, or a beer if you're a degenerate, and treat yourself to 14 minutes of film - I honestly don't think I'm wasting your time on this one and I look forward to any thoughts you may have.

01:55 am - My New Stammer
I've reached that point in life where when asked my age, I become befuddled and stutter and stammer out my reply (when I'm being honest).

I think it's natural evolution and I shall be stuffing hankies up the sleeves of my cardigan fairly soon. Watch this space...

02:41 am - HELP! I've Bitten Off More Than I Can Chew (again)
OK - From another entry you may recall that I'd taken a job that's all internety and websitey. My initial task was a fairly dull, yet simple creation of backlinks; almost the sort of thing a computer could do if website owners hadn't got sick of spam and made it pretty hard to contact them (I don't blame 'em)

Anyhow, cos I'm well cleva and bright innit they've got me on other tasks as well. I won't bore you (so shouldn't really post this at all), but I've been charged with making the site web 2.0 (I didn't know what that meant). Got some of that in place, and more is to come, but I'm also supposed to be on the case looking for blogs that are region/town/ etc specific - that's proving tougher than I expected..

But, even more importantly is that with the implementation of what we call gentle w2.0, it's time to try and go live, get hits and the hitters to want to come back, and get some people advertising on there.

OK, so I got to sell it and I don't know what I'm selling, I don't know what I'm talking about - and I don't know if maybe I'm wasting my time.

If you've got time to waste, can you please click on this link and check the site out and tell me something, anything! Even if I don't want to hear it. What do you make of it, what does it need, does it make sense etc etc...

Can you ask your geeky friends as well please, cos I'm just a tad out of my depth here...

PS: Regarding my previous post - Mass reply to those who commented: I think you've been out in the sun too long.

Sorry for being busy and selfish.

06:37 pm - In The Wake Of The Leaked List
I won't bother going into the rights and wrongs of the BNP membership list making its way onto the interweb, but I have to admit I saved myself a copy, and have been pretty shocked at some of my neighbours, and people I used to know, turning out to be, er very right ring, shall we say.

Blogs galore and various message boards are full of gossip. I'm particularly amused by all the posters, who post as anonymous, telling their comrades they have nothing to be ashamed of.

I'm amused at some of the reasons some folk put for not renewing their membership "leaving because they wont let him wear his bomber jacket"

One of the first of the lists casualties. - - - And the other one.

And finally, however bad this may make me out to be, I get a little bit of pleasure that these people are experiencing a short moment of the same fear of intimidation that they have forced on so many people over the years.

Still, I may not agree with what you say, but I will fight for your right to say it.

Heatmap of BNP support, based on leaked list

I think I'll lock this entry, I don't like bricks through my window...

07:21 am - Can This Be Explained?

I don't understand it.

I think I must have been off school, with measles, the day they covered it in general science. I don't consider this to be a laughing matter, and will be most disappointed if I receive any glib, or generally unpleasant comments to this entry. Perhaps someone with a brain the size of a planet could explain it to me. Possibly [info]happyinmotion ..?

If anyone would be kind enough to enlighten me, I shall be relatively pleased.
